Reporting directly to the IT Application Manager, the ERP Application Specialist is responsible for supporting the primary software application (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central). Maintenance duties include new user setup, key user training, troubleshooting transaction errors (root cause analysis, focused training, and repair). Continuous improvement duties include providing technical expertise to BC modifications and version upgrades, which includes process design and testing. Additional duties include managing user acceptance testing and supporting software validations. Requirements B.A. or B.S in Accounting, Statistics, Finance, and/or Computer Science discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education. At Least 3-5 years with an ERP software and related business processing. Experience with Dynamics Business Central / NAV is highly preferred. Experience managing projects and/or heavy involvement in project implementation Analytical skills and an aptitude for data analysis Responsibilities Perform design, implementation, and upgrades of information systems to meet the business and user needs Meet and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, system goals, and requirements Communicate with stakeholders to collect information about frustrations, issues, and questions that interrupt their workflow Develop, analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow Creation/management of ERP change review and management process Lead business process flow discussions to find best business practices. Work with external vendors (Innovia, Insight Works, Visiship, etc.) on product development from cross functionally developed process design Understand and respond to the needs of the internal customer within the framework of the policies and procedures of the IT department Close familiarity with the major business processes as they are represented in Business Central Project manage any user acceptance and validation of software changes Troubleshoot processing and data errors and provide assistance to product development on problem resolution Test solutions to ensure they meet the best business practice Ensures integrity of data in database and warehouse for reporting and analytical purposes Oversee the testing of process changes within Business Central, including preliminary testing Assist in the writing of any software validation required Provide documentation of all processes and training as needed Provide end user training for business systems Engage in management of change (MOC) processes Adhere to all Environmental, Health, Safety, Security Requirements covered under Local State and Federal Regulations ; Follow all RC14001 guiding principles, policies, procedures and other requirements ; Other duties as assigned.
